A Former Couch Potato Rambles

  1. This is one of those nights on which I don't have a lot to say about any one thing in particular, but a few random thoughts about a multitude of subjects. 
  2. RIP Cloris Leachman! You were and are amazing.
  3. I remember being a kid and watching Mary, Phyllis, and Rhoda on a black and white TV.  A Zenith. Yes, color had been invented, kids, but for a reason unknown to me, my parents had a black and white TV,
  4. Hey, whatever happened to Gavin MacLeod?   Can someone check on him and report back?
  5. I just Googled.  Gavin MacLeod is okay. Not a lot of new information. I assume he's living peacefully somewhere.
  6. You might enjoy knowing that I, a championship speller, am so tired that I wrote the word "Potato" in the title with an "e" on the end.  Potatoe.  
  7. I hope you enjoyed my Dan Quayle impression.
  8. A podcast I listen to called "The Watch," link below, asked:  if you could go back into any TV show and live in it, the way WandaVision went into sixties TV, which would it be? 
  9. I picked The Dick Van Dyke Show, so I could ask Sally Rogers to mentor me, and Quantum Leap, because I get bored easily. How about you guys?
  10. Actually, maybe I would pick Bosom Buddies so I could live at the Susan B. Anthony Hotel for Women and hang out with Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari.
  11. Did I tell you guys that my stepfather, Peter, was an extra in Splash? Not only that, but he went to Tom Hanks and told him that his stepdaughter loved him in Bosom Buddies? And Hanx autographed the back of a book cover for my stepfather to give to me: "To Erica: thanks for watching! Tom Hanks"
  12. Does anybody else remember Tom Hanks as Elyse's brother on Family Ties and that very special episode in which Mallory (or Alex?) caught him in the kitchen drinking a bottle of vanilla?
  13. Holy heck, my laptop battery is at like 2%. I must away to the charger!
